Just booked TYO-SFO-JFK via AA. TYO-SFO is in business class on JAL but SFO-JFK is in economy on AA. On EF there is availability in business on the domestic leg. Looking at some other flights, most AA award bookings with a JAL leg in business have the domestic leg in economy. Does anyone know why this is?
