Effective from 31 May 2024, our Dunedin Regional lounge has been undergoing routine maintenance, which we anticipate will be complete by early August 2024.
During this period, as there is no alternative lounge option, please advise your eligible travellers to see our premium check-in staff who will assist with alternative arrangements.

Effective from 13 May 2024, Air New Zealand can offer their premium customers (Business Premier and Elite/Gold Airpoints members) departing from Terminal 1 at JFK the option of a premium fast track security service, which offers shorter waiting times.

Air New Zealand increasing capacity to Bali

Air New Zealand is now operating a non-stop service from Auckland to Bali year-round, offering your travellers with greater choice on when they travel.

Our frequency is as follows:

  • April to end of October – between five and seven flights per week
  • November to mid-February – three flights per week
  • Mid-February to end of March – two flights per week
Air New Zealand pauses Auckland - Nouméa service

Effective from 10 June to 28 September 2024, Air New Zealand is pausing the direct services between Auckland and Nouméa.

This route is being put on hold due to the ongoing civil unrest and continued airport closures in New Caledonia. Air New Zealand currently does not have permission to operate flights into Nouméa and it is not clear when we will have permission to operate again.

Fun Fact

Air New Zealand's new Hangar 4 in Auckland

On its completion in early 2025, Air New Zealand's new flagship hangar (Hangar 4 in Auckland) will be the largest single-span timber arch aircraft hangar in the southern hemisphere. At one and a half times the size of the airline’s largest existing hangar, it will be able to house one wide-bodied aircraft, such as a Boeing 777-300 or 787-9, as well as two narrow-bodied aircraft, such as an A320 or an A321neo, at the same time.
