So it's appearing to be quite difficult to max out the value of these points!

Heading west, the taxes are brutal, and options are very limited,

OPTION 1). is flying business from Vancouver - London for 190,000 points + $600 return….optimizing lay flat business class seats, BUT that means we need to fly to Vancouver, taxes still not ideal, and it's a cheap flight in general if we waited for one of the many seat sales. Then from there, will need flights to Croatia or Athens…what ever we chose.
OPTION 2). is find a deal to London, then use the domestic flights to Croatia and/or Athens for a fraction of the cost…20,000 points plus $1! BUT, no business class experience.

I need better options!! Any advice? I'm looking for next May for a few weeks of holiday.
