UA stated they wanted HND service for flights where passengers disembark at Tokyo and Narita service for onward connecting passengers. Some US gateways would need both. IAH is the only city that UA has said they want to switch to HND but got turned down.

Well, what UA did doesn't support what UA said. There are no flights from IAD to NRT on any airline now so.... Is there a link to their statement?
