For me this is more fuel on the fire of why Jokers aren't that useful - I have just finished another TP year with 2 spare (having hit 6k+ TPs and only used 1) and the only reason I can forsee using 1 this coming year is to use up a Barclays upgrade voucher. It may well be because I have a large number of GUFs to use and I supposed the unlimited Joker benefit of GGLfL would be useful in the conceivable situation of someone being GGLfL and not earning any GUFs during the year but as someone who has a preference for travelling F LH the GUF allows me to user fewer Avios on a redemption or upgrade and still have access to A fare bucket but not have to worry about whether another Joker has been used in the cabin. I honestly can't imagine a situation where I would be waiting ?10 days for the back office to get back to me instead of just paying a few hundred £ for e.g. a SH flight.

I do appreciate there are cases when they are useful, it's just that if they are getting harder to actually use, unintentionally seemingly, then I'd greatly prefer another benefit at 6k not to mention whatever might have been muted for 5k (no breath-holding here),
