I was in the US last week. I called the GGL US number, at a time when the GGL UK team would have been on duty, and I was routed to India. It was to pursue an issue relating to a space release, It was a sub-optimum experience. Don't know whether I was just unlucky, but if I were a US GGL member, and this was typical of the call handling, I'd be less than pleased. In the good old days, there was a brilliant team in Jacksonville. Another casualty of the DNA cost-cutting.
I am a US GGL and have used the US number for many years. It normally directs to the UK team during their working hours but sometimes it does go to India (including the call I made late last week). I am not sure whether it's just when the UK team is busy on other calls.
