I cannot answer this definitively, however there are system flags for IRROPs and it’s possible that the duplicate reservation engine ignores itineraries where that flag is present. I’ve seen quite a lot of very customer centric software updates being done to really create as frictionless an experience as possible for customers when they run into trip challenges.
