This is the last of three Marriott group hotels I stayed at recently. Special thanks to
ElevatorEnthusiast
for inspiring me to share my experiences. Your reviews help in deciding which hotels to book.
I initially booked the 1 Bedroom Larger Suite with 2 Doubles but about 5 days before my stay, I got an email telling me the room was unavailable due to construction in the Ballroom. They offered a 1 King Suite with a free roll-away bed at the base room rate. I accepted since I was in Japan at the time and didn't want to rebook at another hotel. It ended up working well enough even though it would have been much nicer to have 2 Double beds.
The staff were generally friendly, especially the cleaning staff as they were quick to refill things and asked our needs when they saw us.
The concierge staff was welcoming and helped with luggage and notified us when our transportation arrived.
They had a welcome gift of fruits awaiting me in the room.
The room was much nicer than before after the renovations. It is a bit generic but the majority of things worked.
The bed was comfortable albeit a bit firmer than most beds.
They have now moved the lounge back up to the 16th floor. The views up there are pretty nice with decent service during the evening cocktail time. (They should probably hire a barkeeper or at least measure the pours. I'm sure my Gin & Tonic was a double.) (Also this lounge closes mighty early at 7 PM.)
Breakfast at the restaurant is decent. Having Haagen Daz ice cream first thing in the morning will certainly wake you up. Highlights were probably the freshly cooked food like the omelets and the waffles.
Offered late 4 PM checkout without asking.
Like the users above mentioned, the bathroom had drainage issues that are still unresolved. The sink gets stuck and sometimes you have to remove the entire stopper to get it to drain. The floor in the shower is not sloped enough to drain water so it starts piling up and if you run it long enough it gets all the way to the door.
Even though I let them know ahead of time I would be checking in late (past 11PM) they didn't have the roll-away bed setup and I had to chat with them in the app to get them to send one up. It took some back-and-forth to get them to waive the charge. (The front desk didn't answer when we tried to call from the room.) (We had already emailed with the Reservation Manager about the roll-away bed since they let us know the 2 Doubles suite was unavailable) Honestly, it was only a minor annoyance but it was pretty late and the last thing we really wanted to deal with.

I'd say the stay was pretty good overall. Hard to beat the value that was provided given we were in a suite at the base room's cost. Service was still decent and the cleaning staff were really friendly. Hotel breakfast was decent, especially having ice cream and waffles first thing in the morning. The lounge being moved back up to the 16th floor is good and it was never too busy. If only it stayed open later.
