Same. Mine actually celebrates its 10th birthday next week, and two weeks after that I'm braving it by using it to fly to London then back home to Switzerland. I've done a bit of research and it does seem that BA will allow me on the flight as long as I show a Schengen residence permit.
If not, I'll spend another couple of days in London getting my passport. My parents live walking distance to the new passport office, which is why I've been following this trip report. I'm not a big drinker, so all the photos of alcohol pass me by. The food, though, doesn't pass me by
As an aside, I have my and my partner's passport expiry details in my calendar. It'll beep at me at suitable points near the time.
