I am submitting this review based on my 6-night reward stay in June 2024.
No upgrade was provided. The duty manager stated there are no suites in this property. My room was a standard queen. The bed was comfortable and the furnishings adequate.
The property is undergoing renovations. No completion date was provided - but the workers said they were approaching completion.
The first day I encountered a key malfunction. 1.5 hours later, Francisco the maintenance lead, said the batteries need to be replaced.
During my stay, one of the 3 elevators went on the fritz daily.
During the balance of my stay, I found that the standard MB amenities were not available nor provided e.g. bottled water, biz computer, Titanium check in amenity, daily breakfast voucher, daily paper, a robe, upgraded amenities.
I advocated for the ones I needed. I wondered what anyone else does in these circumstances?
My experience left my confidence in CY shattered. I have experienced fantastic reward stays at CY properties in Asia. NYC seemed to me to be an outlier.
As a result, I have lots of contacts for this property if any FT member wants to PM me. Not sure why you would ? I cannot recommend this property.
