As I live in London the opportunity to spend a day in the snow is very appealing to us. So an easy way to enjoy shinkansen trains with this pass has been the trip to Gala Yuzawa. Shinkansen rides, gondola rides, ski lift chair rides over the mountain tops (no need to ski), snow play including tobogan slides and a water complex area with a mixed gender area (swimming costumes required) with small pools and jacuzzi to finish off the day. Your kids are the perfect age to enjoy this.
