SAS Plus intra-Europe offers all of this today except for the free middle seat.
So we think the best SAS can do is free middle seat, a divider, and an upgraded meal that none of think will happen. Will two of those three items be enough to differentiate intra-Europe Business from Plus? That isn't clear - at least not to me.
My point continues to be that SAS will likely have to take service items away from Plus to make Business worth paying for. But as Plus has always been a relatively bare bones offering, there's no way they could reduce the services to Plus and keep the price. They will try, but the buyers will dwindle. Why would anyone pay for Plus if services get cut compared to today's offering without a correspondingprice reduction? Why would anyone pay significantly more for Business if it basically offers what you used to get in Plus (note: pricing in extra for a free middle seat is perfectly reasonable)?
SAS Plus intra-Europe as the sole component of a premium offering has never made sense to me. It was an outlier in *A and it will be an outlier in ST. I don't know how it stays as it is with the reintroduction of Business class.
