Depending on flight, be there half hour early maybe to guarantee a seat. Bus runs on a schedule on their website based on the flights of the day. Was worried pickup being scheduled so close to my flight departure time, but we got there as scheduled and Komatsu turned out to be even smaller than I thought. I think one international flight at a time, so not much traffic through security and immigration. Note on Shirakawago bus: be there at least right before the bus leaves (reserved seats), because it will leave right on time without you. Witnessed this myself.
Great to hear the details about traveling. We will also be coming from HP Kyoto to HH Kanazawa, although we're pondering a stop in Kaga on the way in. Also will be going to Komatsu airport for a domestic flight, so nice to know about the convenience of the airport bus. Is Shirakawa a must see? I have Natadera Temple and Tedori Gorge on our list of things to do, wonder if I should add Shirakawa. Thanks!
