Heading to the Conrad in two weeks. Received an email for an upgrade, has anyone stayed in the regular lagoon view room that you book on points if no upgrade is offered and I choose not to pay for an upgraded room. Haven’t seen all that many reviews on the room itself.
Stayed in the base room booked on points for 2 nights and didn’t love it because we stayed there for our honeymoon but booked an OWV with pool then that we paid the cash rate for. We were getting eaten by mosquitos in there too. Also, we have a 7 month now and it was difficult for those two days to carry her stroller up and down the stairs to the base room.
When we checked in, they were fully booked and didn’t offer an upgrade. 2 days later, they were less booked maybe and offered us a free upgrade to the endless pool villa up on the hill or an OWV with no pool. We asked how much it would cost for the remaining 4 nights to book the OWV with pool and they gave us a rate that we felt was worth it for our situation.
