Tokyo Part 2 Day 2
We structured our day around a lunch reservation we secured at Ukiyo which is a fairly new fine dining restaurant that has an amazing lunch deal.
Started with an incredible latte from Streamer in Shibuya.

We did some shopping in Shibuya including a walk along the outdoor terrace of the Parco,

Then, after getting incredibly lost finding the restaurant it was show time!
First up, an incredible salad.

Fish (iirc flounder) with a unique dashi

Keema steal waygu for the main.

Finishing off with a great smoked ice cream.

And as was the norm at our nice meals, an included coffee.

Our meal was beyond incredible value, we had 2 drinks each and the four courses of fine dining food for $50 each.
After lunch, we explored a bit before ending up in a personal favorite Menchintei.

After our tsukemen snack, we headed to Asakusa to catch it at night. I found an Italian restaurant near by which had very high tablelog reviews, so we decided to pop in for a snack.

It was around 6:15 pm when we headed in, and literally the only other person inside was the chef/owner/waiter. While we were skeptical, the food was on par with pastas I have had in Italy, and a lot better than a nice DC Italian restaurant. We each had a pasta and drink for about $20.

Besides being good, the fact that we were the only ones there made this a memorable and unique meal. .If anyone else wants some pasta by Asakusa I highly recommend you check out Carissima.

The bread was great for mopping up the sauce.

After our meal/snack we enjoyed how peaceful Asakusa was at night.

Because two dinners wasn’t enough, we made our way back to Ginza for some night people watching and found a basement Izakaya where we had a few drinks and some light bites.

Consistently amazed how good Karaage is across Tokyo.

After that, we headed back to the Hyatt with a stop at the attached 7-11 for a night cap and dessert.
Up next, a Michelin start food bender
