So this issue doesn't just affect those passengers directly involved, but costs BA money and delays other air passengers too, all as a direct result of penny pinching with the Assistance team?

I can't help but think that if BA were to make the airport pay for any missed flights in this instance that a little more money might get spent on the service.

Seems the airport saving a few pennies is costing the airlines considerably more.
