In Galleries First last week there was an elderly American gentleman, travelling alone, who was becoming very distressed that the assistance he had booked still had not turned up 45 minutes before the scheduled departure of his flight (from the C gates). There was a woman in a hi-vis vest repeatedly assuring him, though with no real conviction, that he hadn't been forgotten and that they would get him to his flight. It was quite disgraceful, really.

I was heading for the C gates, and if he had had his own wheelchair I'd have taken him myself.
