Purchased an AC trip with first leg on United, then realized that since it's AC reservation it does not fall under United's cancellation policy where one can cancel until day of departure and get credit for future flight without a change fee or cancellation fee (I've done this on UA and it works

).
Does AC have this policy as well, or do I have to cancel today as I am not sure I will be able to fly next month (due so a certain reason where I am in danger of things going south).
FWIW, it's not basic economy and involves a flight from US to Canada (sort of obviously since it's UA metal on first leg).
