Have an upcoming family trip in Japan and we will be booking a minimum of 3 rooms for 4 adults. I'm Diamond and another is Gold, does anyone have suggestions on the best way to book the rooms ?

Currently I've booked all 3 rooms at each of our destinations (mostly around Tokyo) as Diamond on the flex rate. My understanding is that only 2 rooms will be entitled to accrue points ?

If that is the case, should I cancel and just book 2 rooms , and have the Gold book 1 room ? Or would we be able to add their Gold membership upon checkin in and split the stay then ?

Plans are still quite fluid at the moment hence less chance of a mix up if just 1 person is doing the bookings.
