Look at post above. Limited arrivals 05:00 - 06:00, and a lot 06:00 - 09:00.
With separate tickets with a 2:50 time I would not try International to landside (immigration, customs and biosecurity) Then check-in, security, emigration and back to International air side.
Even I to I would be a risk on separate tickets.
