If you have privilege on AS (oneworld), you can put in your FF number and have it recognized. Same for the LH portion with star alliance. Flying business on DE already has privilege, but FF with AS or Emirates can collect miles. Lounge access at SFO is through China Air (bit crowded).
The DE metal was a brand new Airbus 330 900 series, with 1-2-1 seating. Comfortable flat bad seats, friendly staff, excellent (!!!) meal service, good AV with many selections. Overall a premium airline feeling. Highly recommended.
