I hate 4pm late checkout. Number of times I arrive at a hotel at 4:30 ish to find the last guest has only just left. Usually spent 5 hours driving. Absolutely shattered and have a husband who can hardly stand due to his health issues (I am his carer). We rarely use late checkout and when I do I ask for 2pm at the latest. It’s not fair on the next guest.
The hotel should be doing better inventory management then. Stagger elites as best as possible to allow early check-in and late check-out. One-off room types are a challenging outlier
