I just changed three flights I have in the Fall to take advantage of the BDay Sale. The flights had been hit with an airport/schedule change and the system would allow me to just do a change to the same flight, so I had to cancel flights and rebook. Had my Companion on two of the three so had to cancel and rebook them, which is normal.
