There is 2 compartments on my large messenger bag. One compartment is the zipper that is broken. There is only 1 zipper and not 2. So you can't just zip it from the other side. The zipper has issues for a while and you can't ever zip it fully because if you move it either to the left or right and then move it, you notice the zipper doesn't zip and just goes by. So you have to do trial and error and once it starts zipping, you start zipping very slowly. The thing is no matter what, whichever side you start zipping from, there is always an uneven zipper and hole on the furthest end it is zipping from. Does that make sense? But once you have it zipped to the other side, the zipper will pretty much hold it's place.

So duct tape is the best option here right and carrying the duct tape as well in case you have to tape it again? Now can you fix a broken zipper or put a new zipper into it? The thing is I had this large messenger bag for a long time and I like it because I could fit a ton of my my electronics inside it and it looks very bulky and it is under the size of carry on allowed. I don't have a regular carry on with wheel because putting laptop and other electronics there doesn't feel good idea. This large messenger bag has a compartment to put laptop.

The thing here is it's better to have a carry on that you put duct tape on it rather than checked bag right? Since if it's checked, well it's going to get tossed around and if it gets opened, well how are they going to tape it back up? They going to use duct tape or those knots that they use? So if anything falls out of your checked luggage, well you notice it and then you can duct tape it back?
