given that OP's situation involves an advance change rather than impending IROPS, I agree that speaking to a DL agent is probably the best approach ... if the agent is unwilling or unable to make the switch, politely request to speak with a supervisor (or, to expand on ATOBTTR's advice, say "Thanks for your help" followed by hanging up and calling back)
