Delta is pretty reasonable with schedule changes so I think DL would likely rebook you on the SEA-CDG nonstop without any pushback. If you get pushback from the first agent, HUCA (Hang-up, call-again). I would even recommend seeing if the website would let you change. I was able to change CMH to DAY online for no cost following a very minor schedule change (granted DAY and CVG are only about 70 miles apart but the website let me do it). I've also frequently changed CMH to CVG and vise versa over the phone with an agent with no issues (over 100 miles apart).
I would NOT recommend trying via chat as chat seems to be the least effective way for managing anything that's even slightly complex such as changing airports.
