I don't fly any where near as much as I used to - perhaps only one or two returns each month - but the CCR, support from the Concorde Team and some of the other benefits such as jokers are still very valuable to me. I earned the GGLFL level organically - have never done a TP run, and had already qualified in 2013 (?) when the Lifetime things were launched. To me it has been a highlyappreciated gift as at that point I was just about to drop to Silver, having been at least Gold since Gold was first created as a tier way back when.
Yes I can appreciate that, but that was not the group to which I was referring. As people age, their flights reduce to zero at some point. Two returns a month should generate a healthy intake of Avios and TPs, and thus it is useful. Two flights a year, on the other hand, would be another matter. The latter is fairly typical once the BAEC member gets to 60 years old and thus likely to be retired, or heading towards it.
