I am flying YYZ-YVR-NRT in PY Lowest Cash fare. As per eUp chart, I need 4 credits for YYZ-YVR, and 12 for YVR-NRT, for a total of 16 credits. However, YYZ-NRT is 5000+ miles, so for that journey I'd need 17 credits. In this case, individual segments are cheaper than total direct, and thats what AC is quoting me to request an eUp. I think AC plays nice and charges lesser of the 2 options..
