Bag drop at VYR closes at T-45m for a domestic flight so that's your cut-off if you have checked baggage. AC will interline the bags if both flights are on AC but not if OAL are involved.
Really appreciate your response, thank you. I am not a very calm traveller so I think I'll opt for the later flight which will give us 4.5 hours. Hopefully enough time spare in case of any hiccups.
