Emirates posted a pretty comprehensive rebuttal with detailed info on the 2015 allegations from UA/AA/DL:

This myth has been debunked and as bmwe92fan rightly mentioned; UA wouldn't have entered into a partnership with EK if they thought for a second EK wasn't paying for its fuel.
Quite ridiculous (to me) that this myth is still perpetuated, TBH.
