UA is not opening advance upgrade space the way they have in the past. However, from what I’ve observed, and keeping in mind that these are trends and not guarantees, SFO-PEK and SFO-TPE seem to have more space than most flights. LAX-HKG, yes, although there’s less capacity on that route. SFO-MNL might be the easiest upgrade in the system, although they still don’t offer advance space… but I’d have a hard time recommending that anyone transit MNL.
