ATL connection is a few minutes longer at 1h29m. There are later flight options from both DTW and ATL (but gap is longer at DTW). Skywest flight will probably depart from B gates at DTW which means going through the tunnel (about 1/4 mile with moving walks) which may be a factor depending on your mobility.
