Steps or jetbridge at JNB and BLZ: Airlink 450: JNB-BLZ, E135
Mrs Jrobin had a recent hip replacement, and will have travelled YYZ-YVR-AKL-RAR-AIT-RAR, requesting and receiving wheelchair assistance for each flight.
We are next travelling RAR-AKL-SYD-JNB-BLZ, with JNB-BLZ on Airlink 450, an E135 I believe.
Unlike other airline we have used, Airlink require completion of two MEDA forms to receive wheelchair assistance.
When these forms were submitted, she was told she weighed 9kg too much for assistance with stairs, so she did not qualify for wheelchair and stairs assistance on the JNB-BLZ flight, only distance wheelchair.
Does Airlink use a jet bridge for E135 flights from JNB? Or are passengers bussed and use stairs?
In BLZ, I would expect stairs. Is this correct?
Thanks
