As stated above, purple and yellow (exit row) were free for OWS and OWE, but only OWE member could have chosen the XL seat for free, too. It would have cost 20 euros for the OWS passenger to choose an XL seat.

The free seats were only showing up online after the Iberia supervisor put our AA numbers into the reservation, triggering the elite status. It was a headache to make that happen. I could not add it myself in the Iberia reservation. Iberia told me AA had to to do it. AA told me Iberia had to. Then an agent on chat said he would do it. That didn't work. Then I asked Iberia to do it. They claimed to buy nothing changed. Only after I talked to an Iberia supervisor and she did it then was it actually in there and it allowed us to pick emergency row seats for free instead of 26 euros.

I just looked at aerolopa. It claims that the exit rows have 34 inches of pitch and that the two XL rows have 30 inches of pitch.

Aerolopa:
Row pitch:
Rows 2 to 6: 30"
Rows 7 to 11: 28"
Rows 12 and 14: 34"
Rows 15 to 16: 30"
Rows 17 to 31: 28"
