After happily slumming it in blue for 10+ years and flying BA mainly on Avios redemptions, a business trip last month via BAH launched me headfirst into the glamorous world of Silver

One of the perks is free seat selection, which after always waiting until 24 hrs before, is very attractive. I have an existing (Avios) booking coming up next month that I made back in January, I did have a cheeky look to see if I could now select seats FOC, which I can't - I assume the terms don't cover bookings made before the tier upgrade, but wanted to confirm this was the case as BA.com is just about the glitchiest website I've ever used, so I take nothing as gospel!

I can live with the status quo of setting my 24 hr alarm, unless I am missing something!
