It's only a small diversion to go past Glengoyne, which has a quite good tour (or at least did when I visited 10+ years ago).

Otherwise I agree with the sentiment above. Whisky styles vary, but there's not much difference in the distillery. Scotland has a lot more to offer, don't spend all your time on tours.

Oh, and please don't call it scotch when you visit. People might look at you funny.
