Falling behind because we are having such a good time here!
Kyoto Day 2
Started our day by heading to Fushimi Inari. I always enjoy the view from the first car.

We hiked all the way to the top, where the crowds were a lot thinner.

Worth the hike!

Sweet mochi snack as a reward.

For lunch, we went to a touristy but good soba place.

Fairly good soba!

The best part, featuring instructions.

After lunch we went to a shrine my fiancé read about that features a ton of head sculptures.

From there, we walked to the overhyped bamboo forest. While it makes for a good picture, the crowds led to it feeling underwhelming.

Post forest beer.

We did a good dinner at a local Teppanyaki place called Boruta which was recommended by a friend. I will let the pictures do the talking.

After a delicious meal, we headed back to Yakasa for sunset.

Sensational sunset.

After lots of walking we had a second dinner overlooking the water at an unimpressive touristy izakaya.

To be continued!
