I never saw an elevator. Just thousands of steps. That said, you could ask for a room near check-in and there are not too many steps to deal with for check-in, restaurant, room, and spa. Pool is only accessible via a 50 (?) step staircase down. It is literally built onto the edge of the valley so nothing is very level. That said, I'd be open to staying here again due to excellent breakfast, nice pool, and decent rooms.
Thousands seems rather excessive. I never had to use any stairs unless I wanted to go to the pool or bar downstairs. The front desk would also send a buggy to grab me from my forest edge villa whenever I didn’t feel like walking.
