I've been reading the previous questions and helpful answers but I hope you don't mind if I ask something.
OW Emerald flying BA CW to DOH arriving 2300ish. Next day I have 1330 F with QR to MCT. separate tickets. We will have checked bags as will be in MCT for a while.

Q1; I'd like to stay at the Oryx Hotel as it's a late arrival. I know (I think) BA won't check the bags through on separate tickets, so will it be possible to arrive in DOH, collect bags and recheck them to MCT and enter the airport and stay at the Oryx or is that just too far ahead?

Q2: On the return it's QR in F to DOH arriving about 1500 then BA to LHR the next morning 0730. I had read that QR WILL check through from MCT-DOH-LHR on separate OW tickets. Is that still the current experience? Would we be able to stay at the oryx again on the return?

Q3 If it's a no to the Oryx, I've got flexible bookings at the Qabila Westbay and Four Points Sheraton Doha. Is there a better or closer property to the airport, given the late arrival/early departure times?
