Inconsistent (Inaccurate) Flight Status Info
As some may know, I've been tracking UA895 recently as I'm connecting with in tomorrow in HKG.
I just noticed something strange.
I checked status on United.com and it said that today's flight left ORD on-time at 12:20 and will arrive HKG on-time at 6:05pm.
I checked status on Unitedcargo.com and it said it left ORD a couple minutes late (12:35) and is scheduled to be diverted to Anchorage (as it has been the last 3 days for a re-fueling stop) and arriving in Anchorage at 4:21pm. It gives no estimated arrival time in HKG.
I checked flightview.com and it says the flight left at 12:59 and says it is scheduled for a diversion stop in Anchorage at 4:18pm.
I strongly suspect that this flight is being diverted to Anchorage and will thus arrive 2-3 hours late in HKG.
Why then is United.com giving the wrong information? Especially since another united site (unitedcargo.com) has the accurate info. Is this their idea of exceptional customer service?
