Before we rehash an old story in a fresh new altered version. Jakarta to Narita is blocked at 7h 35m. The infamous banana was not all that the passenger was served during the flight. The service flow on the flight was a light snack after take off and a meal full before landing. The light snack was the banana and later the passenger was served a full meal.
But the media attention of the case has made JAL review their vegan/vegetarian premium class meals, and for long haul there is now a collaboration chef for these meals as well. I am not sure what it actually meant for the content of the vegan meals out of Jakarta though, the basic flow of snack and meal before landing remains the same.
