According to the gentleman in 5E on a recent flight, there's also the ability to look through the gauzy fabric at the cookies and such being offered to the front cabin, and not to him. He also asked why pay to travel up front and I had the good grace not to enquire why he (possibly) paid to move further forward in a middle seat.
