Business travelers expensing things might have a hard time getting this reimbursed, I would think.
I haven't and I wouldn't pay because you can easily swap places as long as you are trading away a better seat against a worse one (middle), plus no one wants to sit with small kids.
Whether you can expense it depends on individual company policy, some companies are very stingy regarding their travel policy (I know several and read the travel policy from a company - 8 pages long to tell what you are allowed and not allowed to do). If an employer has an issue with you spending 900 DKK for 1 night hotel in Warsaw, you know that you are going to get a lengthy talk with your boss if you tried to expense that.
