Can you be denied entrance to United Club with a TRIP pass?

Wanted to get some clarification on this. With summer time coming up and lounge access being busy, is it possible to be denied entrance into the lounge with a TRIP pass? I'm flying into ORD on June 11th at 7:15AM and am worried that there I will not be able to get in. Some reports are saying that they already have a sign in the C lounge telling they cannot accept day passes. My understanding is that the TRIP pass is tied to the itinerary and should allow me to get in but some people are saying that TRIP/DAY passes work the same way. I called the United lounge and spoke with a rep and she confirmed that if there is a sign and it is full, that I will not be allowed in. I explained to her that didn't make sense and since I already paid for the pass, what would I do? She said to call back and they would refund me. Any ideas? Just trying to prepare myself for next week.
