Was trying to figure out the optimal fare buckets to book into in order to hit GO. I think I figured out how the new economy fare concept adds additional SPs and AMs (which is just SP * 10) to the base earning rate. Thought I may share (full table and conjectured mechanism below).
Did the painful thing of creating dummy bookings but this is the chart as of 5 June 24.
The mechanism seems to be:
1. For fares booked without the new fare concept, earnings follow Economy Light.
2. For Economy SNQO, Essential earns 2 additional SPs compared to Light up until Medium-Long, 3 additional SPs for Long and 5 for Ultra-long. Flex earns 10 more SPs than Essential regardless of distance.
3. For Economy MLV, Essential earns 2 additional SPs compared to Light except it is Medium (that is 5 SPs more) and Ultra-Long (10 SPs more). Quite odd why Medium is singled out. Flex earns 10 more SPs than Essential except for Ultra-long (20 SPs more)
4. For Economy, YBHK, Essential earns 2 additional SPs compared to Light up to Short. 5 SPs more for Medium and Long. 3 SPs more for Medium-Long. 10 more for Ultra-Long. Flex earns 10 more SPs than Essential except for Ultra-long (20 SPs more)
Makes me wonder what's the commercial case behind the odd spots (e.g. why Medium gives more marginal SPs to Essential compared to Medium-Long), and why flex tickets on ultra-long net 20 more SPs but long routes only net 10 more.
