Agree that this is probaby automatic process. Pretty much the first thing which happens when a prop is received is that the DD mandate is sent off to the bank (life assurance co's don't like sitting on them, plus if they send them off quickly, they can start charging sooner).
I'd be interested to know if the trust argument still works (if you're really stuck, drop me a mail, as there are other routes for multi propping....).
