Earning United miles on a TK flight
I'm flying next week on the inaugural DEN to IST flight. When I booked it the outbound was in W class (according to the email confirmation I received on the day of booking), now it is in Q class. The only changes that have taken place were a schedule change (earlier departure/arrival times, no other changes) and I purchased a chargeable seat. I'm not sure why either event would change the class of service.
So my question is.. Can I can earn UA miles now that I'm in Q class, even though the ticket was originally in W which does not qualify for UA miles? Does anyone know?
The return flight is still in a class of service that doesn't qualify for UA miles. So if I give the UA mileage number for the outbound flight, do I need to re-add the TK mileage number when I check-in for the return? Not that it matters much, the TK miles will be worthless to me...
Sorry if these are basic questions, just haven't encountered something like this before. Thanks in advance!
