They won't board you on the return.

Madness aside, if its what your policy allows then go for it- they tend not to be flexible even when its in their favour! - returning to my example, I had paid £100 for a very short weekend in Paris and taking the later flight after the one I missed made it hardly worth going. I called the insurer and said, wouldn't it be better for all parties if I just cancel the trip and you refund me the £100? their answer- no sir, you have to buy the £300 replacement ticket...
