Drinks came just ahead of the meal (salmon which, to be fair, was very good). I ordered a vodka tonic which was delivered just ahead of lunch. Lunch served sans wine glass. Did I miss something? No wine (or wine glasses) with meals up front?
Did you ask for wine? Wine glasses aren't on the tray setup and haven't been for as long as I can remember. You can always ask for it, though.
I think the 1.5 hours is an anomaly. I've never waited 1.5 hours for a drink, even with the laziest of crews. Did you wait 1.5 hours to ask again? It's possible the FA made a mistake and simply forgot.
