(DISCLAIMER: I'm a Million Miler on UA and rarely travel outside my bubble, so caveat emptor). Just finished a trip CUN/PHL (AA2175 5/4/24) in business row 1. The FAs were cheerful, personable, and almost useless. Drinks pre TO were cold water (way easier to serve up pre-poured cold water than manage cocktails for 20 pax). Drinks came just ahead of the meal (salmon which, to be fair, was very good). I ordered a vodka tonic which was delivered just ahead of lunch. Lunch served sans wine glass. Did I miss something? No wine (or wine glasses) with meals up front? Following the meal I requested another vodka (just the mini), which after a second request, arrived after 1.5 hours. Yes, I had fortifications in my carry-on. Suggestion. If you want a couple of cocktails on AA biz class bring your own. Or just sit in PE and make it a picnic. (And don't get me started about seat pitch on Airbus).
